I want to provide community beautification through the planting of flowers, trees, putting up gates, and trash clean up. I also want to have programs for the youth ages 7-16, in which there will be reading, writing, mathametics, socialable skills, and the importance of knowing themselves. We also want to have trips to museums, zoos, art galleries, amusement parks, etc., in the hope that it will expand their minds and give them a broader look at life.
I think this is very much needed in a lot of the areas, in and around Atlanta. Areas where the people feel they're not important, areas where the kids are growing up watching their siblings revert to gangs and gang violence, areas that have potential but no one to take the initiative to cultivate it. These people deserve to have something beautiful also. I think providing educational and fun activities for the kids in these sort of communities, will bring a more positive and proactive response from the people who live in those areas.
We understand that our efforts won’t make a difference in everyone’s lives, but for the ones’ that are willing to change, we’re willing to invest our time and patience to bring about the better good. One thing that we understand is that we live in a society fueled by sex, greed, violence and independence. We are developing a program for young men and women, covering the importance of interdependence, mental strength and the importance of knowing themselves, etc.
