The Problem

Motion Queen is meant to celebrate and recognize women in Hip-Hop dance. Women in hip-hop are considered a minority because of the male dominance in the community. I want to create a space for women of all ages to come together to dance, battle, and share resources around dance. So I am throwing a dance event for women Motion Queens needs help with finances: snacks/drinks, DJ(s), and the prize money.

Plan of Action

I want to throw a dance event for women that will feature performances by female dancers and female dance battles. The winner of the dance battle will receive a prize of 300 dollars. Motion Queens needs help with finances: snacks/drinks, DJ(s), and the prize money. Motion Queens is my senior thesis project for LABP (Los Angeles Big Picture High School). LABP is a project-based school that allows students to follow their passions by participating in internships and interviews to complete their high school education.
