The Problem

Point 19 is a project that a new group called S.M.A.S.H. (Student Making A Safer Highway). Two High School students from each school in our county have come together and have partnered with The Ohio State Highway Patrol, 4-H, Trumbull Safe Communities and a Local Church to plan ways to make teens make better decisions while driving. They meet every month and are planing one big project for the year.

Plan of Action

S.M.A.S.H. is totally a student lead team with adult resources from there advisers. There plan of action is planing to launch and brand new campaign this april. The have decided to call it Point 19. Point 19 is the code the police say when they have arrived at a crash and there is a fatality. This will be an event were high school students will set up a big walk through tour of a life of a girl making poor decisions and what happens to her in the end. This event will be held at the Eastwood Mall Expo Center and we are in need of funds to pay for it. With money that we already have the grand total we are in need of is $2000 to launch this project successfully. This event will be advertised as a Hunted House only to get lots of people to come out, but will be and drama of different scenes all adding up to the story of a girl that made bad decisions and in the end has lost her life. In this project we plan to wake teens up that life has no rewinds and no do overs.
