Keturah Bullock is the founder and president of Positive Attitude for Life (P.A.L.). The mission of Positive Attitude for Life is to empower young ladies (ages 12-18): to think positively, to impact society, to broaden the scope of their futures, and to know that “each” has the power to make a difference. By utilizing positive influence this program seeks to impart the knowledge and life skills for “each” to recognize and reach their full potential. Mentoring will aid these ladies with guidance and encouragement while building confidence and self-esteem.
Positive Attitude for Life engages in instructional activities including monthly meetings, peer networks, lectures, workshops, and seminars targeted for youth. Positive Attitude for Life also has an annual conference. All activities associated with the program serve two fundamental purposes. They promote a) a benefit to public interest and b) education. Both purposes will lessen the burdens of the government by combating juvenile delinquency and community deterioration while enhancing overall well-being of community members. Positive Attitude for Life’s program provides emotional outlets for youth in despondent areas.
Since 2003, Positive Attitude for Life has utilized the first week of August at triangle area hotels for instructional sessions and annual seminars (conference). This time is dedicated as a primary vehicle to promote a positive self-image, strengthen conflict resolution skills, develop a positive attitude, and enhance personal confidence in youth within the area. To ensure maximum involvement, there is a minimal $75.00 fee for registration to the annual P.A.L. Conference. This fee covers cost incurred, which includes room and board, all meals, seminar materials, activities, and a P.A.L. t-shirt. Currently, approximately 95-100% of Positive Attitude for Life’s resources goes toward the annual Positive Attitude for Life Conference. Charitable contributions or donations are accepted in the form of sponsorship of registration fees for any underprivileged prospects.
