Rebuild Detroit

The Problem

There are hundreds of foreclosed, abandoned, and neglected homes in the Detroit area. The city is already offering many scholarships and grants to rebuild. I want to start off a project that attracts more investors, and young people into the community.

Plan of Action

I would like to over the course of 2013, get a group of college students that have done previous work on renovation, and start buying and rebuilding and then sell back the heavily subsidized houses to individuals who want to/ already live in Detroit. Cities are rebuilt one home at a time.
