The Problem

Our community service oriented group of college students will be traveling to Atlanta, GA, in order to participate in a service trip. We are a group of approximately thirty-five students who all attend Union College in Barbourville, KY. We are all part of the Common Partner/Bonner program, which is a scholarship program that works with non-profit organizations throughout the community. The trip will take place January 18, 2008, through January 21, 2008, which is over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. If we received the Plum Grant, the money would go towards funding for travel, lodging, and food. We will be doing some form of community service directed towards homelessness. Not only will we be doing service, we will also be taking a trip to various educational sites in order to celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. If you would like to learn more about the Common Partner's Program, you can visit our website at: http://public.unionky.edu/cpo. Thank you for your time, and we hope to hear from you soon!!!
