The Problem

The Do Something, Brooks! club decided to help a local Girl Scout who is working on her Gold Award. There is a contingency of people traveling to Paraguay this summer, and it has come to our attention that many/most of the children of this impoverished country have never seen a stuffed animal, and do not own any. We worked with Jessica (age 16) to organize this project. We set a goal of sending at least 700 new and gently-used stuffed animals to Paraguay. When all was said and done, we had collected 1,409 stuffed animals! That's 1,409 happy children in Paraguay! The whole school helped, and the Do Something members sorted, counted, and bagged the collection. Way to go, DO SOMETHING!
