The Problem

Four graduate special education majors are planning a summer camp inclusion project for children with autism. We are researching summer camps in the Philadelphia area (PA and NJ) who are open to including children with ASD into their programs. We are building a training module for use for camp counselors and teens interested in volunteering as support assistants to these children with ASD. We are also developing a brochure which identifies inclusive camps for parents of children with autism. We are still in the data collection/development stage of this project, but will have a comprehensive plan of action by 8/2/07.
