Thanksgiving Gala for the Homeless

The Thanksgiving Gala for the homeless is an event designed to offer food, entertainment, love and hope to those without a place to call their own. It is the brain child of the youth of the inner city who were tired of seeing men, women, and children on the street in need of care but not knowing where to turn. We showed them that they could turn to us! Driven by our belief that we are all family in this world we organized a concert and dinner to lift the spirits and offer a helping hand to our Earthly brothers and sisters. We did not want to do a traditional soup kitchen because we found that to be too impersonal. We wanted to reach out and touch the people, touch their hearts, hold their hands and be there with them through these tough times because that's what family is for. The Thanksgiving Gala includes musical and dance performances, a catered menu, and health care and employment resources. We will do this every year. Each year helping more people than the year before!
