The Problem

We are trying to solve several problems. We are going to try to resolve computer dumping, digital divide, and the lack of education. We want to diminish the amount of computers being thrown away because they are one of the greatest cause of pollution. We also want to eliminate, or decrease the digital divide between societies.

Plan of Action

We are going to recollect computers that are old and discarded by companies and individuals. We will be talking to people at our community about this project and hoping for donations. After receiving computers we will check which ones work, and fix the ones that don't. After fixing the computers (with our previous knowledge and researching) we will install Lubuntu on the computers. We will use Lubuntu because its free and it will make the computer work faster and efficiently. When the computers are up and running we will give them to different orphanages in our community and teaching the kids how to use them properly. We will be going each weekend to teach them different lessons with basic but useful computer skills.
