If you really set down and think about it, we got life pretty easy. We got the basic necessities practically handed to us from fresh clean water to place to call home. Everything seems kind of picture perfect except that most of the time we don’t take to mind the less fortunate of us. I was personally facing the same dilemma until I began volunteer at the food pantry.
Set off on a journey that will impact and change the life of many; be the one to help out your community. Began volunteering at the food pantry of the local United Community Ministry, were I have helped assort and distribute donations to the needy. I was a colleague to them for 4 years, assisting them for more than 300 hours each year. You can also be a part of this challenge by assisting them by:
-prepare food bags for the homeless
-stocking shelves
-assembling food bags for clients
-breaking down bulk food items in to family-sized portions, etc.
