The Problem

Around the world, 1 billion people lack access to clean water. Because of this, a child dies every 15 seconds. We can build a sustainable water well in Africa that will provide 500 people with clean water for the rest of their lives. With clean water, women and children no longer have to spend hours a day hauling water over miles of land. Children can go to school and be educated. Less people will be affected from diseases found in polluted water.

Plan of Action

We are collecting donations around the school everyday at lunch for 2 weeks. We are also collecting at school sporting events. We have fundraising days at Chili's and Big Spoon Yogurt where they are donating to our project a percentage of each order made. We are also offering the 2 Week Challenge. The premise is simple: drink only water for 2 weeks and at the end, donate the money you would have spent on other drinks such as soda, coffee, or energy drinks. Give up these drinks to help provide others with clean water.
