Monday night five members of the DS.org team ventured out to the streets of NYC to participate in the HOPE 2010 NYC Street Survey. HOPE (Homeless Outreach Population Estimate) gathered thousands of volunteers to canvass parks, subways, and other public spaces to count the number of people living unsheltered in the city. The vital information collected is used by outreach teams to help homeless people leave the streets for a better life.
