Wartime holidays

We like to keep it pretty light over here on the blog, but one this has been seriously on our mind a lot this holiday season. Ok, more like hundreds of thousands of things...well, people to be exact. We can't stop thinking about the American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Luckily, we get a few days off from work to travel back from NYC to our hometowns to spend the holidays with our families. But the troops...not so much. They're toughing it out in the Middle East and other parts of the world, far away from their loved ones. We think that stinks. We majorly heart the troops for dedicating their lives to serve our country and protect our freedom and while here at DoSomething.org we all have different takes on the war, we can all agree on one thing...showing the troops some love. Read on to find out how...

So join us and start a new holiday tradition this year. Get your family and friends to spend five minutes writing a card to the troops before you chow down at the dinner table. You'll feel great about it, and you'll totally make someone's day.
