The Problem

The city where I live has planted whole patches of ice plant - an invasive, nonnative species that kills other plants and damages ecosystems - along our beach. Ice plant is a publicly recognized problem plant that other groups are trying to remove. However, no one seemed to notice it in my town.

Plan of Action

Get the ice plant removed! I'll work with the city's landscape coordinator and restoration groups and anyone else that will help to weed it out and plant native plants.
