SAPHE youth will study subtle marketing techniques used to encourage underage drinking. Then the youth will create commercials themselves to work on decreasing underage drinking, such as encouraging a law standardizing the age until which someone should be carded, enforcing liquor laws so that alcoholic fruit and energy drinks are correctly classified as liquor rather than beer, and encouraging home owners and realtors to install lock boxes in their homes in which alcohol and prescription pain medicines can be secured against misuse. The commercials will be posted on YouTube. The number of likes will determine the cash award contest winning team.
