The Problem

The teenagers of Ucluelet, BC are very interested in skateboarding and only have an outdoor skate park right now. Due to the fact that it rains more than half of the year on the west coast of Vancouver Island, the teens are unable to use the skate park half of the year.

Plan of Action

We have an indoor space for a mini ramp, but we do not have enough money to purchase a ramp. I'd like to raise $4000 through various teen-run initiatives, as well as through applying for grants. The money raised will go towards purchasing an indoor mini-ramp that the teens and local adults will build together as a community project.
