After witnessing his aunt's 8 year wait for a kidney transplant, Richard Ludlow decided to start a national student-run not-for-profit, Students for Organ Donation, to promote organ donation awareness and registration. Their original campaign at Yale University was run by more than 50 volunteers, and registered an astounding 1,100 plus students as organ donors. Over time, students from more than 20 universities joined the effort. Richard won a BRICK Award in 2005.
