A place away from home

Many kids in neighborhoods have a park or somewhere to go to play hang-out ext. When i was younger this place was the park in my town. Unfortunately, this place is falling apart. The first step in my plan is to reserve a room for after school program. This program would consist of volunteers that would provide snacks, counseling, homework help and to provide a place to go when home isn't safe.A place to hang out under supervision. Encouragement is going to play a big role. In time i hope for a declining drop out rate,drug abuse and pregnancy rate. This is a program for our future.
