We took about sixty children that were a part of the Boys and Girls Club of Stockton that were considered under unfortunate economic status to camp. At camp we had environment activities and projects that would get the children interested in helping the animals and plant life that is in danger with the growing industrialize world. Also, we had day and night hikes that provided physical fitness for the children along with fun activities such as swimming and dances. These activities helped our children become more socialized and aware of the threat out environment suffers. The BOys and Girls Club of Stockton also emphasizes on the development of academics with our community children. We run an afterschool program where children get help with homework along with tutoring, exposure to current events and issues of the world, and the opportunity to join drama club, dance club, computer club and so forth.
