The Problem

Often young teenage girls fall prey to abusive relationships. They allow the theory of "love is blind" to subject them to emotional and physical abuse. I want to make girls aware that there is no tolerance for such treatment in an relationship.

Plan of Action

doSomething has encouraged clubs to create 1in3 bracelets. The statistics of abusive relationships. I am going to give them out and/or sell them to young women up to 25 years of age.

Project Updates

We are almost finished selling the stop domestic violence bracelets. We will be using this money to host a Fashion Show/Dinner for United Nations-Girl Up Foundation. I will post photos soon!

I just purchased the bracelets that we will be using, the club will help assemble statistic bags which will contain: the bracelets, a pamphlet on domestic violence, how to prevent or know if your in an abusive relationship, emergency contact info, and a ribbon on the bag.
