The Problem

The Arthritis Foundation is working to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control, and cure of arthritis and related diseases. Most people think arthritis is just something that affects "old people," when it is actually the #1 cause of disability in the United States. Kids get arthritis too! It affects people of all ages, sizes, and backgrounds. Please join us in helping to fight arthritis as we raise money through special events throughout the year.

Why It's Important

Each event we host raises money that goes directly towards the almost 500,000 Central Ohioans who are affected by arthritis by way of exercise programs, support groups, home assessment services, and many more.

The Plan Of Action

Jingle Bell run takes one full year to plan by a Special Events Director and a commitee. Currently we are one of the largest Jingle Bell Runs in the country. As a whole, the Arthritis Foundation is the largest private, not-for-profit contributor to arthritis research in the world, funding more than $380 million in research grants since 1948. Together, volunteers and staff have helped individuals take control of arthritis by: -providing public health education -pursuing public policy and legislation and conducting evidence-based programs to improve the quality of life for those living with arthritis

How Can Others Get Involved?

Help us support our cause! Join us as one of over 100 volunteers at the Columbus OH 23rd annual Jingle Bell Run. We need help in many different areas including Participant Morale, Finish Line volunteers, and Merchandise Sales. Please see http://volunteerregistration.kintera.org/jinglebellruncolumbus for more information, including a registration form to sign up and volunteer job descriptions.
