The Problem

The 30 Hour Famine is a program that high schoolers participate in to experience a brief glimpse into what children do in the world every single day. Participants also raise money to help feed the unfortunate in countries in need. Participants also go to the local homeless shelter and feed the homeless and pray with them. We are helping the communities in Africa and other places of the world because a world that is not unified will not succeed. The 30 Hour Famine helps bring the world closer together, and peace is what we should be striving for.

Plan of Action

Organizing the 30 Hour Famine as a junior in high school really showed me how much time and effort you must put into something that you want to do. The public speaking that I had to do throughout the whole process warmed me up for radio/television broadcasting which is my intended major. Seeing the results of my school, my perspective on things changed; I began to see things the way they were. This world is a horrible place, but it can and will be made better.
