5C Social Action Week

the problem:

As many problems as we can. It has not yet been decided- we are hoping to help fix 5 of the following problems:Criminal Justice

Disaster Response/Relief
Discrimination: race / gender / religion
Environmental Issues
Health/Disease
Immigration rights issues
International Human Rights
Poverty/local concerns
Violence/Abusive relations
War, peace, and political issues

vital stats:

people impacted:

0

people involved:

20

why it's important:

I want to help as many people as I can because I do not need help. I have such a great life and go to an amazing school, so I would like to give back as much as I can

the plan of action:

Social Action Week is a week reserved for doing service- we will be
organizing projects, rallies, events, speakers, etc. to raise
awareness for specific injustices on a different Claremont College campus each day
[Mon-Fri]. We will possibly be going into LA as a group to do some
other service projects on Saturday.

how you can get involved:

Get involved- planning is still very much needed. Money is a must- project and topic ideas, organizations, and speakers are needed as well.
