1,000why it's important:
Health is important to me as it should be for everyone. Not necessarily weight, but when a person is unable to walk a lap (1/4 mile) without taking several breaks as a teen that is a concern.
the plan of action:
Have students take a lap in the morning before first hour class - five minutes. If this is completed allow for five extra credit points to be used toward classes throughout the semester. This promotes exercise, enourage students to come to class, and increase grades. Of course there would need to be stipulations (i.e. a student can not walk then leave for the day, etc.).
how you can get involved:
Encourage, empower, and excitement of peers!
