absecon island (new jersey) beach clean up

I am going to work with the community trash collection services and the pricipals at the schools to get parents and kids to come out for a 1 day clean up. we will give posters to the teachers to give to the kids and we will put signs on the streets to advertise the event. each kid that helps will get a t shirt, a pen and a trash bag (1 for recycle and 1 for non recycled items) to help clean the beaches. My father and I have already contacted the principal at one of the schools and he is interested in working with me have his students attend. We also are working with the Atlantic County Utilities Department to support the event by pickup up all the full bags and recycling the materials. We also are in discussions with the local businesses to get their employees to participate. I feel that this program on Absecon Island will help to convince more people to clean the environment as it has already worked in my local community.
