Adopt-A-Child

I coordinated with the local elementary school and every second period class in my school, 32 in all, to raise funds for underprivileged children in our community. I sent a welcoming committee bus over to take the children to see Santa. Following the group Santa visit at our school, each child was introduced to their adoptive class. They spent next two hours singing, laughing, opening presents, and smiling. Those smiles touched every person in the community, and forged a bond of giving for all future classes to experience. 32 underprivileged children, 870 students and faculty, over 60 hours of volunteer service, over $4,000 donated, and none of these comes close to the joy we were able to exude.
