The Problem

My experienced of losing people very close to me due to medical mismanagement or inaccessibility to medical infrastructure, coupled with my desire to change things, has inspired me to pursue healthcare as my career. I was worst hit by the prevalent healthcare challenges in India when my grandfather’s heart condition (a hole in his mitral valve) deteriorated to a point where most of us lost hope. I realized that no other profession touches human life as closely as healthcare.

Plan of Action

I worked towards data analysis and patient care of the operated patients. I observed some basic flaws in the data management portal and pointed it out to Dr. Agrawal. Impressed by my quick observation and passion, he took me with him to the operation theatre where he performed tibia plate surgery. It was one of the proud moments for me to realize that one of the most renowned orthopedic surgeons in the area considered me capable enough to share an operation theatre with him.
