The Problem

I am a student at Northeast State Community College and have been working on my B.S.N. in nursing. I plan to transfer to ETSU this fall to continue my degree. After obtaing my bachelors degree I plan to transfer to UT at Memphis to beceome a Nurse Practitioner. My concern is AIDS in Africa. Once I get my degree I would like to travel to Africa periodically and spread information on AIDS and how to prevent people from contracting the disease. I plan to start this by visiting Nairobi, Kenya this upcoming July for my senior trip. We will be sharing the Gospel while helping to heal the sick. Although, I will not have the education to help medically I plan to help people emotionally, share Jesus Christ, and also be gaining experience for the future. As of right now I am raising money for my traveling and room expenses. The total cost of the trip is $3,490 and so far I have raised $1,700. I have sent letters to family and friends, and also contacted businesses.
