The Problem

My name is Haley Harthoorn, a Ainsworth High Senior and head of the Youth Community Development Force in Ainsworth. This will be our 3rd year of the youth initiated Ainsworth Youth Soccer League. A group of high school students came together and saw a need in our community. Parents were carpooling to surrounding communities (up to 45 minutes away!!) to give their child an opportunity to participate in soccer, because formerly Ainsworth had no soccer league. The Ainsworth Youth Soccer League is solely coordinated and managed by high school students. With the success of our past 3 years, we have been eager to expand to other age levels. Along with this arises the need for more equipment, such as new, better quality soccer nets, more soccer balls, and permanent soccer frames. Help us help our community!!!

Plan of Action

With our project already being established, we have a very specific plan to go about doing things. We already have registration forms as well as insurance matters figured. We have a screen printing service established for tshirts from past years, as well as a place to order medals for the kids lined up. We have previously gone through our local services to bulk order soccer balls and other materials. We are currently looking into where to get potentially permanent soccer frames. We grew from having 20 kids in soccer to over 50 in one year. The kids love playing and participating in the youth soccer league
