Alika's Shoe Foundation

In order to make this happen, I will study everything I need to know about designing and making shoes at the Art Institute of Portland. I have made shoes in the past, and have already created a prototype that I could use for this project, made from recycled materials, and I want to take it to a higher level. Once I have made enough shoes for the project, I would like to make my first shoe drop to a certain orphanage where I grew up. Later, I want to educate people how to make their own shoes using what they already have available, in order to prevent the illness. I have not shared this idea with very many people, but the ones I have shared it with have been very supportive and excited about the project.
