The Problem

My area is a very wealthy district but we still have un believable levels of poverty. Food for others predicts, "More than 90,000 people are living in poverty and 30 percent are children." I am an officer in a club at my school called All The Worlds Children. We are working on preventing child hunger in are area. On the belief that we think no child should have to go to bed hungry. Food for Others is our area that provides numerous meals to families in our area, and that is why our club supports them.

Plan of Action

This club was new at our school this year, and took three months to get approved. Our school was first uncomfortable with us trying to fundraise, but later on decided it would be okay. After our rocky start we have taken off. We are posting a pizza sales, making a video for our morning annoncement(to spread awareness about the child hunger in our area), and even are begining to work on planning a walkathon for the following school year. Along with providing our club members with volunteer opportunities like working at the local food warehouse. Another idea we are interested in implimenting is having a "Child Hunger" week in May to raise awareness and have a massive amount of canned food.
