The Problem

We at the University of the Incarnate Word spend our time with the community located at North Zarzamora in San Antonio TX at the Willie C. Velasquez Literacy Center. Here are the tasks we as a group accomplished during that week. • Painted all the giraffe around the neighborhood along the blocks • Painted the houses that needed some new paint to their house • Weeded public sidewalks and picked up the weeds • Picked up trash and relocated the items thrown away by the people to a dumpsite set up by the city

Plan of Action

We are planning for summer involvement and another spring project. The goal is to continue the idea and made more contributions to this community in a lot more affective ways. This last project was kinda of a experimental one to see what is to be expected next time; to better prepare ourselves.
