The Problem

I am trying to solve the problem of children around the world living with unrepaired cleft lips/palates. I am doing this through volunteer fundraising efforts for The Smile Train. I have already raised enough money for 10 children around the world to get surgery. I am also beginning to work locally to help children with cleft lips and palates feel more included and less isolated.

Plan of Action

I plan to continue working to raise money for The Smile Train. In addition to that, I am beginning to work locally by working with other foundations . Through my efforts, I will raise awareness of craniofacial disorders and I will help other kids by supplying them with care packages after their surgeries and giving them resources for more help.

Project Updates

I am working on making puppets and dolls/animals for kids who are having cleft repair surgery! These toys are made to have cleft lips, too! I am hoping it helps kids to have toys that are just like them! It is a really cool project that I am just starting. I have already sent out three of them!!
