The Problem

Bullying. I want children to appreciate diversity so that when they become older, the likelihood of them bullying someone simply because they are different will decrease. Many children pick on others simply because of differences, so my project will allow children to understand that even though they may different from someone, they also have many similarities.

Plan of Action

I am creating an organization called Angel to Angel which provides a way for children to start a pen pal relationship with someone who is different from them, whether it be someone from another country, someone with a disability, or someone with a different background. I will start locally by asking organizations like ICAN and the Boys and Girls Club to participate. Next I will ask local schools and lastly I will expand to many states in the U.S.
