I have been volunteering at a pet rescue agency for about one year now. I am trying to educate pet owners in pet care and the importance of spay and neutering. I am currently working with an organization that adopts orphaned pets out to appropriate families. The pets are spayed or neutered before they go to their new owners. All shots and worming are included in the adoptions. The animals are taking care of and loved until an adoption takes place. I would like to start an educational program for pets owners in the local animal shelters. I want them to know the importance of pet care and being a loving owner. I believe this can have a significant impact on the environment by decreasing the number of unwanted animals wandering the streets. These animals that wander streets can cause disease and danger to the local neighborhoods. I hope that I can make a difference.
