The Curriculum itself is broken down into two interconnected cores: Life Map and Financial Systems. Life Map focuses on an individual’s talent and combining it with the proper skill set to gain valuable experience. This experience serves a crucial part in both the education system along with real world applications. While talent is one innate ability skill is the development of talent through various activities and opportunities to hone ones craft. The Financial Systems core principles demonstrate competencies that can be utilized in the academic arena as well as everyday life, with the overall goal of maximizing an individual’s financial resources and their personal objectives. The concepts of Income, Money Management, Credit, Savings, and Investments will be addressed through both one- on-one activities along with dynamic collaborative approaches toward problem solving and case discussion.
Village Arise Artisans will determine how the objectives in each core will be implemented. These objectives are developmentally based and guided by both the knowledge of the typical developmental stages of adolescents in a chronological span and by the awareness of individual differences in patterns of growth, personality, learning style and family background.
Adolescents are still in the stage of self-discovery and awareness so thematic units have been developed to expose them to new concepts and expand their knowledge and understanding of the world around them.
