I plan to help the over one-million Darfurian refugees who have been forced to flee because of the genocide there. I also hope to bring a sharp awareness of this horrific, still-occuring event to the minds of political figures. I recgnize that aid to refugees is not a full solution to the genocide problem, but it will ease the suffering and transtion of many people.
Believe It
The goal of this project is to impact as many lives as possible, both those of the refugees and those of the people who help with and hear about this project. The art that is donated will be auctioned off in an effort to raise money to create a Teen volunteer foundation and to provide necessities to Darfurian refugees.
Build It
1. Get artists (students and professionals) to donate art or services for a Silent Auction
2. Find a place to host the event and caterers as well as an auctioneer
3. Organize invitations to collectors, city officials, speakers, etc
4. Organize event itinerary
5. carry out event
6. proceeds to go to specific organizations to aid Darurian refugees
How Can Others Get Involved?
By referring artists or organizations who would like to donate. Even other teens can help by creating their own art to donate.

I think that this is a really great idea and I know of a few people besides my self that would love to donate art. The area for this project is important though, as is providing an adress for art to be sent to so possibly once enough art is collected securing a hosting area such as a resturaunt that would be willing to donate space would be the next step...If you need any advice or help please feel free to ask!
