The Problem
There are 27 million slaves worldwide, tens of thousands children, and thousands of which reside on Lake Volta in Ghana, West Africa. The problem is that children are being robbed of humanity, but also lack holistic rehabilitation. Art Feeds is doing what it knows best: using creative expression and art therapy for the healing of children rescued from trafficking and slavery in Ghana.
Plan of Action
Our plan of action is to equip nine classrooms in two primary schools in Ghana with art supplies, lessons and an educator to promote creative expression. 300 children within these schools will be provided with a sketchbook and drawing materials. 100 students will receive art packs and daily art therapy to cope with trauma, remove barriers and substantiate growth in their new lives freed from bondage.
