Arts in Education

I wrote a five page essay focusing on the importance of keeping art programs alive. I interviewed staff from local volunteer organizations as well as put forth thirty hours of community service. I was trained as a Volunteer Project Leader and have spent time creating murals in elementary school courtyards and creating crafts with children at several events. All of my volunteer projects have been extremely beneficial to making a humanitarian difference. I also presented my information in a powerpoint to judges, students, and teachers. I will continue to work with the nonprofit organization to make a difference in the community.
