The Problem

I have noticed that many time teens find it difficult to turn to adults for guidance or help. Many of them ask their friends for advice, or in most cases, don't say anything to anyone at all about their problems. A lot of these teens bury themselves in their problems and turn to drugs, alcohol or even sex as a way to escape.

Plan of Action

We already have the web site built, and are currently taking advice questions. We have had a number of the people that we have given advice to already thank us for listening, and say that we have really helped them. We also offer links to all of the major help lines, and other sites and communities that they can go to for support.

Project Updates

Ask Ashleigh is continuing it's effort to reach out and help people. We are currently working on some new features for the site, and are almost ready to start rolling out our monthly newsletter to the subscribers that have registered.

With the summer coming up, we are looking for new ways to grow our grass roots effort, to let kids know that there is something that they can turn to. We are also hoping to be able to finalize a partnership with other teen sites, to allow Ask Ashleigh to do a weekly or semi-monthly column.

The summer we have found is especially hard for a lot of kids, since school is out, and often times they find themselves alone all day.
