The Problem

We are trying to teach children ages 7-16 HIV AIDS awareness in Ghana. There are many misconceptions about how the disease is transmitted and as well as general sexual hygiene. These children have never been taught how to keep themselves as safe as possible in an area of the world that is struggling with this disease. My personal goal was to teach as many children as possible how important sexual responsibility is.

Plan of Action

My plan of action is to continue on with my schooling at the University of Missouri, only one more year! Afterwards, I want to go back to Ghana and continue with my project which is centered in Accra. In the meantime I hope to raise money to build safe houses to the children we help so that they can have a raven in an area that puts so much pressure on getting pregnant at and young age.
