the problem:
We address the need for early science education for girls as well as other womens' issues. We feel that girls embrace science and math education best when not placed in an environment that includes males. This project is directed atempowering girls to succeed in fields that are still dominated by males.

25why it's important:
I believe that education is the way out of poverty. Girls who are born into "at risk" situations get caught up in a cycle of life that tends to repeat itself with each generation. I want to show these girls that their lives are their own to design, and, through education, they can have a life of success.
the plan of action:
Through these camps we expose girls to the fun side of science. With successful experiences with our camps our feedback tells us that our campers are more likely to embrace not just science learning, but education in general in the school classroom setting.

Funding is always needed. Donations of materials that relate to the space sciences are welcome.
