The Problem

The Asylum Law project gives law students the opportunity to work with non-profit organizations that help immigrants with legal issues. Students assist those who most need representation in immigration and other courts. While serving the immigrant communities, students learn the value of applying their legal skills to help others.

Plan of Action

This year ALP will send nearly 100 students to cities like Minneapolis, Miami, El Paso, Tucson, and Los Angeles during the first two weeks of January and Spring Break. Students will volunteer full time in non-profit organizations. Through the work of these volunteers, thousands of immigrants have gained legal assistance.
