The Problem

Homelessness is an issue that will never be completely vanquished, however, every single member of Austin Street Youth strives to foster quality relationships with the homeless population of downtown Dallas in order to restore the drive and purpose within these desolate people. 35 high school students trek into downtown Dallas at 4am one Saturday a month, not for personal satisfaction, but in order to further provide service to a yearning community. Through both the act of serving those in need, and sincerely building relationships, both the homeless and the students walk away heavily blessed.

Plan of Action

As a high school senior I further plan on joining or founding a similar organization while in college. I also have insured that ASY is in good hands and that students continue to treat the organization well.
