Autographs4CF
the problem:
Autograph4CF is a project I'm doing, where celebrity autographs will be auctioned off to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help fund research for a cure. CF is one of the most common genetic disorders, with about 30,000 people affected in the US alone. It affects the lungs and pancreas, and used to be like a death sentence... in the 60s, the lifespan was about 14. Now it's about 37 years, since treatments have improved. However, there's no cure yet.
Since February, I have contacted celebrities for autographs and have so far receieved signed photos or CDs from people like Johnny Depp, Green Day, John Travolta, Dakota Fanning, 30 seconds to Mars... a wide variety of people. I've set up a website with info about the cause and photos of the autographs: http://autographs4cf.wordpress.com.
Hopefully, I'll be able to get some more autographs, raise some good money, and really spread awareness about this disorder.
