The Problem

The decrease in moral values in the entertainment industry has a major effect on our culture. There is a generation of teens, and young adults that were raised (severely influenced)by television, movies, music, and video games that promote lawlessness. In these days what is good has become unpopular, and what is bad has become fun, and cool. Entertainment has had a major role to play in this upside down mindset. For example, in young culture it is cool to have sexual relationships with as many people as you can. You are actually considered a loser if you are not "hooking up" with people. This mindset and so many others like it have penetrated and almost taken over our culture influencing things like teen pregnancy, sex before marriage, sexually transmitted diseases, and other negative things that are spreading through society. Other issues are growing because majority of the entertainment industry is doing nothing to prevent or counter these things. Entertainment has so much influence on the youth, yet there is very little material being produced that promotes the idea of doing the right thing. I believe this is because doing the right thing isn't popular... it is time for that to change.

Plan of Action

I have a strategic plan, and I have decided to invest much of my future resources to this "plan of action". I will use my creative gifts and abilities to produce a stream of entertainment that will promote love, purity, kindness, justice, and other good moral values. By using the most popular forms of entertainment such as music, television, movies, cartoons, theater, literature, and video games I will help to build a branch of entertainment that will not only appeal to audiences, but it will inspire the youth. Through the use of entertainment I believe a movement in the youth can begin. People with talents and gifts can be encouraged to use their abilities to make forms of entertainment that does not corrupt or condone perverted behavior. Instead the can be shown the virtues of honesty, and integrity, and how these things can benefit you. I plan to begin a branch of entertainment that will awaken (help to see, and move) a generation of youth to fulfill their dreams and destinies. Awaken a generation is not just a project, it is a movement. It will produce several streams of media that will pull young people by using the things they like most. I believe that when this begins, and children, teens, and young adults are introduced to movies, music, books, and even video games that promote moral standards, they will become less interested in wicked things. They will become more interested in pure, and good things. I believe by doing this we will being to see a change in the youth as a whole. If we can begin to counter the corrupted forms of entertainment with righteous media, then I truly believe that young people will be "awakened" (helped to see, and move) so that they can live for so much more than lives of lawlessness.
