Awareness of the World through Photography

I am trying to attend an art university so I can get a degree in photography. I already work with an international missions help organization called Youth With a Mission that helps people worldwide. Because of this I get a great opportunity to travel. I will take pictures of poverty issues worldwide and distribute them everywhere I can, creating an awareness of the world we live in and how we all need to get involved. In the town I work in, Ensenada, Mexico, it is a tourist town for cruise ships. Most people do not see past the tourist street, to the colonies of people who live in terrible conditions. With my organization, I will create a trendy cafe that will attract tourists and locals alike. It will display my photos and have a justice and mercy theme. We will create opportunities for people to get involved in day trip outreaches and other opportunities.
