the plan of action:
Inner city Dallas kids and their families receive lunch, fun activities and ministry during. The junior high youth group of Gateway Church goes on mission trips every spring break with the mission of bringing fun and the love of Jesus to poverty stricken areas. The past two years we have partnered with City Church International to conduct an outreach in Dallas, where hundreds of impoverished minority children and youth are touched by the love of Jesus. 25 members of Gateway Church's junior high youth group who acted as student leaders ministered along with myself and 7 other adult leaders. Many of the children came to know Jesus as their personal savior. We blessed City Church with building renovations so they may better serve the community, and community members were blessed with food, clothing and a week of fun activities. We combined games, crafts, snacks, dancing and singing, to provide kids with an opportunity to open up about issues they struggle with daily resulting from the poverty stricken lifestyles.
