The video started with an idea. We wanted to create something that showcased some of the things we have learned through music. Then the idea expanded and we went from a few kids in a band to a wide variety of students within multiple fine arts programs. We created the entire idea of the video and then got the support of our teachers. After all of the grunt work was taken care of, we presented the idea to our principle who approved without question. We set out and began filming on the selected dates. The band organized everybody involved and after many long days and nights of planning and editing, we had our video.

The best part of making this video was bringing together all of the different students from different organizations with a common purpose... the music. We had a blast working together and it is a time in our lives that we will never forget.
A music education is, in our opinion, one of the greatest things in a growing child's life. Through music, we can express ourselves in a healthy way. We are taught how to set higher standards for ourselves and then how to achieve them. It is even statistically proven that kids with a music education do better academically in school. We know from experience that this is true. The skills that we have learned through music will help us throughout the rest of our lives.

About Your Video
Garage Band (any out-of-school band)
The biggest challenged we faced was the organization and production of the video. We the students were in charge of every aspect of this video. From organizing, to filming, to editing; we ran the show. We wanted to prove that our education in music has helped us achieve greater things in life. Without our musical educations, this video would not have been possible

We have been very fortunate to grow up with a music education. We feel it an honor and duty to fight for the upcoming generation and ensure that they have the same opportunities as we did through music.
